We had our second baby appointment today. No, we're not having twins, if you are trying to guess what the good things are. We switched to a new doctor so we can deliver in Lebanon instead of having to drive 20-30 minutes to the other hospital that the other doctor delivered at. Anyway, I'm pretty happy with the switch, and our appointment was quick today. We got to hear the baby's heartbeat today... perfect 161. :) I think Jason was kind of surprised at how fast it was going. He asked if we got to have an ultrasound next time, but not for two more months. This is definitely increasing his patience and mine! So that was good thing number one... healthy baby with a good heartbeat.
Good thing number 2... Jason got a conditional offer of employment today from the police department, so as long as he passes he psychological evaluation and the voice recognition thing (like the polygraph, but voice instead), and of course all the academy and training, then he will have a GREAT job! YAY!!! One big step in the right direction, and all things considered, it seems to be moving pretty quickly, so we're happy about that.
So where's good thing number 3?? Jason says we should buy a lotto ticket... I'm not too sold on that, however, they are giving away tickets to Brad Paisley this weekend at a fast food joint here in Lebanon tonight, so we might head over there to try our luck on that! ;) Fun times!

Whoohoo on the job offer! That did go pretty fast, although hasn't he been talking to them about it for over a year (while still in Iraq?) or was that a different department?
You don't need to go looking for good thing #3, they sort of show up... although you can't win the lottery if you don't buy a (1) ticket. Just don't make it a habit :o)
So fun to hear the heartbeat, etc -- you are impatient 'cause for so many they have no idea there is someone on the way until about now, so 2-4 extra weeks of waiting for you.
yay for healthy babies!! Every appointment where there is a healthy heartbeat is such a blessing.. and such a relief! Good luck with everything. Glad everything seems to be in your favor!!
So glad baby is doing well as well as mom and dad! The job offer sounds great. Amazing how things just fall into place and even when things get tough, it always ends up working out. When is the due date? I don't remember reading about when you are having the baby.
Congrats on the pregnancy! I don't know about you, but so far for me it's going by pretty fast...but by the end it will be DRAGGING! I hope you haven't been having a lot of morning sickness! I did with my first, less with my 2nd, and pretty much none this time which is really nice!! Glad to hear things are going so well for you!!
