Mobility... uh oh!

Yes, I am like a month behind in my postings... that's what happens when the computer or the child won't cooperate!!
Anyway, Ruston has become very mobile... and always manages to find Jason's shoes.
He also tries to figure out how to get to daddy.
Riding this little cart is fun, but definitely requires some concentration!

And he just likes to give mommy some good smirks, like he's not going to find trouble. ;)
He now (since the beginning of May) pulls himself up on stuff... and thoroughly enjoys the stairs where he can make noise and it echos.

The laundry basket was the first thing he pulled himself up on...
...and he sure is proud of himself!!!

Places I Get To...

Ruston is constantly on the go these days, and is quite impressed with himself.

Notice his mouth is open in just about all these pictures... accompanying the motion, he also verbalizes his movement. It is rare that he goes anywhere without also making noise while doing it.
Ruston likes to "help" mom with the laundry too.
Although usually "helping" is taking the folded clothes out of the basket and onto the floor. We need to work on that.

Taco Time!

No, not the restaurant, and no, we didn't eat Taco either. Ruston and Taco are great buddies.
Taco likes to bring his toy to Ruston, thinking he'll throw it for him. Sometimes this ends in a tug of war between Ruston and Taco...
...other times it ends up in confusion, as below.
Once again, Taco brought his ball for Ruston.
Then comes the contemplation of how to get the ball.

Taco waits ever-so-nicely for Ruston to throw his ball.
Taco: "Here you go, see? Take it and play with me!"
Ruston: "Ok, I have it... now what?"
Taco: "No, I'll take it back now."
Taco and Ruston like to share EVERYTHING. I have given up attempting to keep the dog away from Ruston's toys, and Ruston away from the dog toys... they are almost one in the same these days.

Family Time

The last couple of months have been rough on Jason's grandfather. While he was in the recovery center, we decided to go visit. Mammer was there as well... and yes, Ruston was tired!
Ruston and Papa Wayne checking each other out...
3 Kemp men.
Papa Wayne finally got to return home earlier this week, but these are older pictures. We've also had some fun family time at home.
Ruston likes to play with daddy... until nighttime and then he thinks he needs to be connected to mommy at the hip! If I happen to walk past him while Jason is holding him in the evening, he throws the HUGEST fit... with no tears of course!

Being on the go makes you exhausted! I'm 7 months old!

There are just some days when I would love to be like this:

I guess being on the go really wears the little man out! Other times, he enjoys spending time in his high chair... with some Cheerios.
And babbling... hence the funny face.
Remember this bear? Yeah, that's the original Mr. Bear... my my how much the bear shrank!!!

Contemplating his moves...
Along with being constantly on the go comes pictures that are no longer perfect. Ruston turned 7 months on April 25th, and here's a few pictures of the difficulty I had while getting Ruston to hold still with Mr. Bear for his monthly bear picture!
I even tried to coax him with a couple of other toys...

...still didn't work. Below is the best one I got, I think. :)

Either way, he's fun to play with. Ruston has been babbling like crazy (including da da, ba ba, ma ma, and na na), is ALL over the place with the fastest Army crawl I have ever seen, but would much rather be standing. He thinks he can walk, but has horrible balance... haha. I'm sure it won't be long now.

Playing with Taco

Ruston enjoys rolling around, army crawling, and playing with Taco.
In an attempt to catch him on all fours, but he didn't stay there for long that day... and this was mid April, so almost 7 months old and VERY mobile.
Trying to take Taco's ball, but Taco wasn't having much of it. Although it looks like he's biting Ruston's arm, he's actually just licking it.
Taco puts up with quite a bit from Ruston... and I'm sure it'll only get worse.
Another attempt at all fours. He likes to use his toes to get himself places.
And this is what his face usually looks like while he's on the move because he's talking the whole time. :) Cute kid, if I do say so myself!
