We had a great day today, and learned many new things! Jason and I went up to Lafayette, TN where Jason's paternal grandparents are. Papa Wayne's sister, her husband, their daughter, and her husband were all there from Oklahoma and Texas, so we got to meet some more new family. :) We also got to hear a TON of family stories and see a bunch of family history that they have compiled over the last few years... all the way back to Jason's great-great-great-great-great grandparents!!! Yes, that's 5 greats! Jason's pretty excited about finally knowing where he came from, and meeting more extended family. But besides that... we also had a TON of great food!!

After eating, we decided to do a little bit of shooting handguns. Lee (Jason's first-cousin-once-removed's husband) is shooting, with Garrett behind, Jason, and Robert (Jason's uncle) in orange.

We had a ton of fun today, and are so blessed to have more and more extended family as the months continue! We're already planning our trip to Oklahoma and Texas sometime next summer to meet everyone else!
Here's Garrett trying to help Shannon put his new golf clubs together for his Gator Golf game. He was pretty excited about it. Notice all the cakes and pies... they definitely weren't all eaten!
Although Gavin didn't get his own cake, he got his own piece of cake, which he promptly grabbed by BOTH hands and put it in his mouth. This was the scene for about 10 minutes, maybe longer. This kid LOVES food... too bad we didn't think about taking his clothes off before he had BLUE frosting!

It was a pretty fun night, and the kiddos got new toys to play with... along with a definite sugar high. That day had a mix of so many people, that for the next few days, several of us were sick... ugh. But everyone is better now!
