When Jason got home from graduation, he stopped by the Smith Co Sheriff's Dept to give them a copy of his certificate, and within the hour, got a call back from them that they wanted to give him a job! How crazy that he got a job the same day he graduated! I guess putting himself through was worth it. :) Again, we are very proud of you Jason, GOOD JOB!

Police Academy
Yesterday, Ruston and I made the 4 hour trek over to East Tennessee to see Jason graduate from the police academy. 8 weeks of hard work has finally paid off!
Unfortunately, Ruston didn't feel like sitting through the graduation, and we spent most of it in the hallway doing this:

There were some great speakers, which I still managed to hear from the hallway.
The small group of people there for graduation at Walters State Community College.
The class is standing. Those sponsored by a department were in uniform, but most put themselves through and wore white shirts at the end.
Jason receiving his certificate on stage. Sorry it's blurry, once again, Ruston wasn't cooperating, and it's an action shot!
Jason on the end of the second row.
Jason with his certificate. Good job hubby/daddy! We're proud of you!!
At the end of it all, Ruston was WORN OUT! In the car, shortly after the graduation. :)
On the way home, we stopped at Bass Pro in near Knoxville so Jason could get his fix. Jason and Ruston had fun looking at the fishies in the aquarium there.

Getting Ready for the Police Academy
At the end of July, Jason was getting ready to use his GI Bill to put himself through the police academy at Walters State in East Tennessee. Since he wasn't sponsored by a department, we also had to make sure he had shirts with his last name on them, so my job was to iron the letters on.
