Ruston is one talking, babbling, active little machine lately... although there are times when he wears himself out. Jason sent me this picture from his phone a few weeks ago... just reminds me how little and innocent Ruston really is. :)
Other times, daddy and Ruston like to sit in the recliner together. Ruston was pretty happy about this, although I think he was trying to get out at that time!
Ruston's had some issues with thrush lately, so we bought some Gentian Violet for it. I thought I would post our little purple-mouthed man. :) He usually ends up with purple fingers too since he can't seem to keep those out of his mouth... it reminds me of the people of Iraq getting their fingers dipped in ink after they vote.
In the past few weeks, Ruston has found his toes and feet, and in the last couple of days, he's figured out the benefits rolling. Taco has been his main motivation in getting anywhere, as you can see in some of the following pictures...
Oh yes... Ruston has outgrown his first carseat. Gone are the days of pulling him out of the car while asleep in his carseat. Ruston helped me try out his new carseat in the living room...
... he seems to like it just fine, and he'll have it for awhile (hopefully).
Back to some Taco pictures... Taco is going to be in big trouble when Ruston really gets moving!
Taco wasn't too excited that Ruston got ahold of his skin. It looks like Taco is trying to bite Ruston, but really he was just turning around while being caught off guard. Thus far, Taco has only licked Ruston... A LOT.
See, Taco is Ruston's motivation... while holding his toes, of course.
One of Ruston's other favorite things is this Reese's package. Yes, that's right... we're starting him early (just kidding). Ruston will sit on the couch and play with/chew/hold/etc this package of Reese's... I'm sure the actual Reese's are in tiny pieces. Ruston is a huge fan of the crunching noise that the package makes, but don't worry, he's always supervised while playing with this, and therefore, will not suffocate himself on any plastic. Other crunchy things he likes are his crunchy-page book, and most recently, a bag of potato chips. Who says you need to buy a kid actual toys?!

If I remember right it was about that age where Jack was into anything with crinkly wrappers. Potato Chip bags were a favorite! How fast they grow! He'll be following you two around before long! Then it suddenly seems that they magiclly change from baby to little boy overnight!
