Wilson County Fair

In mid-August was the Wilson County Fair, which happens to be one of the largest (if not THE largest) fair in the state of Tennessee. Brooklyn really wanted Jason to take her so she could have fun and ride rides, so we swapped kids with Cindy and Jason, Brooklyn, and I trekked out to the fair. Due to the crazy high price of wristbands, I was the picture taker and didn't ride any rides. Jason and Brooklyn rode this caterpillar roller coaster first.

Jason didn't fit too well, but eventually got it figured out.

Then they went to their favorite-- the BUMPER CARS!

They got some good hits in, and then it was on to race on the super slide!
Brooklyn beat Jason BADLY on this one!
Brooklyn also really wanted to ride the bull, so we paid the extra bit of money to let her do this. She was all worried about it, but lasted a really long time!

Then she made Jason ride. Unfortunately, Jason bailed pretty quickly because he feared getting hurt on a weekend during the police academy, and didn't want to let anything stand in the way of graduating! I'm sure he'll try it again next year when he won't have anything to worry about getting hurt over!
Unfortunately after this, we were on our way to a larger roller coaster, and a GIANT storm came through. We stood under a few different roofs, and ended up in a little pavilion with a bunch of other people while the outside got pelted with rain and thunder and lightning! When the rain slowed down a bit, we ran as quickly as we could to our car, and left. Boo... but at least we got a bit of time in. We were completely soaked by the time we got to our car. Hopefully next year will have nicer weather and we'll try again!
